# alltimetables

alltimetables stitches every published national and regional timetable in Europe into a
single graph, so a journey is planned end to end across borders rather than country by
country. Coverage runs from mainline rail down to village bus stops and island ferries:
Greek KTEL intercity coaches, Albanian and Bosnian intercity buses, the Gozo Channel
ferry, Norwegian and Croatian island ferries, Kosovo Railways, Ukrainian and Moldovan
services, Andorra, Liechtenstein and San Marino.

Five tools:

- `resolve_place` — turn a place name into a stable `place_id`, disambiguating names that
  repeat across Europe ("Hlavní nádraží" is the main station of dozens of Czech towns).
  Cost 1 unit.
- `plan_journey` — door-to-door journeys by train, bus, tram, metro, coach and ferry,
  including cross-border. At most 3 itineraries, local times with explicit UTC offsets.
  Cost 10 units.
- `next_departures` — the next departures or arrivals for a whole station, across every
  operator serving it. Cost 3 units.
- `list_regions` — every covered country with feed, stop and trip counts and freshness.
  Free.
- `describe_region` — the operators, feeds and licences inside one country or region;
  answers "do you have the Gozo ferry?". Free.

Metering, in journeys rather than tokens:

- Anonymous: **300 journey searches per hour**, shared globally by every caller with no
  key, refilled continuously (no per-user quota, no account).
- With a free key: **500 journey searches per hour, privately** — more than the entire
  anonymous world gets, because it is yours alone.
- Station search and coverage lookups are metered separately and are **never starved** by
  journey traffic, so discovery keeps working even when journeys are exhausted.

Every tool result reports what is left and when it refills. When journeys run out you get
a cached or approximate answer with a `retry_after_seconds` and a link to the free key —
never an error, and never an authentication prompt.
